Advent Hero Day Five
Johnny Depp: not just a swashbuckling hero, but a suave heart stopper with cheekbones to manicure your nails on. Also a master of many disguises. Which version would you choose? Jack Sparrow, Edward Scissorhands, The Mad Hatter or Frank Tupelo.
Personally, I'd go for the real Johnny Depp. He was on Graham Norton's show recently and managed to be both cool and funny. If he phones up tonight to ask me out for a drink I shall definitely be searching out my best frock!
I must admit that Johnny has never done it for me, though I admit he's got fab cheekbones. But that's what makes all our heroes so wonderful. They appeal to all tastes.
Cara, I agree - I saw him on 'Graham Norton' and thought he was delicious!! Not too full-of-himself and he 'got' Graham Norton's humour completely. The only bad thing about him... he likes Ricky Gervais...! (but I'm sure I could make him see sense!) Helen

ReplyDeleteI loved him in Chocolat and The Tourist. Not really into swashbuckling heroes ...
