New People's Friend Pocket Novel coming

Hi Everyone,

Look out for my next People's Friend Pocket Novel coming out on Thursday. It's called "Where Love belongs". I'm quite excited about this as it's the third in the Potteries series set in the early part of 20th Century. It's about the Vale Family and this one features Lizzie, the youngest sibling and her life (and love) as she begins her career. Don't worry if you didn't read the earlier ones .. it stands by itself of course and if you do want to catch up on the earlier one, the first of them comes out in large print, also on Thursday. Good too, the Editor says she doesn't want the stories to end so I'm halfway through a fourth one. They've become part of my own family almost! My background was in the Potteries so it's a bit like going home. Hope you enjoy it!

  1. Well done, Chrissie! It's a great idea to do a series, but with stand alone stories. If PF decide they like the story I recently sent them, I'll have to think up my own series.

  2. Well done on sustaining a series Chrissie. I have heard it say by people who have done them that it's as well to start keeping a card index or some sort of other record of key relationships, incidents etc as with so much going on, a writer can forget who did what to whom etc. Series seem to be so popular, paricularly in historicals. Congratulations!

  3. Thank you for your kind words! As for a card index ... I'm sitting with a pile of papers and post-it notes scattered over my desk, about three files open on the computer and a grasshopper brain that somehow works better this way.

  4. Chrissie, what are the titles of your previous bokos related to the Vale family? I´d like to get them first before reading this one.
